Coordination of Multiple Flexible Resources Considering Virtual Power Plants and Emergency Frequency Control

High-voltage direct current (HVDC) blocking disturbance leads to large power losses in the receiving-end grid, and event-driven emergency frequency control (EFC) is an important measure prevent deviation. By aggregating controllable distributed energy resources (DERs) on demand side, a virtual plant (VPP) could quickly reduce its can be new fast response resource for EFC. Considering both VPP traditional resources, this paper proposes optimized EFC strategy coordinating multiple grid with multi-infeed HVDC. The approximate aggregation model of process constructed, based which strategy, aiming at minimizing total cost while meeting constraints rotor angle stability deviation security, proposed. electromechanical transient simulation combined particle swarm optimization (PSO) utilized solve model, parallel computation accelerate solving process. effectiveness proposed verified by provincial detailed results show that dramatically maintaining same margin.
